Burrito Bison Revenge is a launch game where you play as a luchador shot out of a wrestling ring to crash through gummy bears, collect candy, and launch as far as possible. The upgrade system gives you meaningful decisions, and optimizing your launch strategy dramatically affects how far you go. Here's how to play it well.
The Basic Loop
Each launch starts with you choosing the right moment to slam down as you fly through the ring — hit the green zone for maximum launch velocity. From there, you bounce off gummy bears for additional boosts, slam into special bears for money bonuses, and use rocket power-ups to extend your run. Money collected during runs is spent on upgrades between runs.
The Launch Mechanic
The most important skill in the early game is timing your ring exit. The power bar cycles through green (maximum power), yellow (medium power), and red (low power) repeatedly. Hit the button when the bar is firmly in the green zone. A perfect launch at maximum power extends your eventual distance by a significant margin compared to a mediocre launch. Never rush this — an extra second of patience at the ring can add hundreds of meters to your run.
Best Early Upgrades
The most impactful early upgrades are: Slam Power (increases damage when you hit the ground, which affects your bounce height and distance — this extends every run), Gummy Bears increases (more bears on the ground means more bounce opportunities), and Starting Boost (gives you extra speed from the ring immediately). Unlock these before investing in passive income upgrades.
Special Bears
Different colored bears provide different effects. White explosion bears send you flying upward — very useful for getting height when you're about to hit the ground. Police bears give you a speed boost. Blue gummy bears create chain explosions when you hit them. Prioritize hitting white and police bears when your momentum is dying — they extend runs dramatically.
Managing Rocket Power-Ups
Rocket power-ups appear as collectibles during your run. When activated, they give you a period of boosted speed and control. Use them when you're about to lose momentum and are still far from the goal, not when you're already flying at full speed. The boost is most valuable as a momentum recovery tool rather than an acceleration tool.
Reaching the End
Burrito Bison Revenge has a specific distance target that ends the campaign. With well-upgraded stats, you can reach it in a single run. Focus your upgrade resources on Slam Power and Bears count first — these two stats have the highest impact on run distance and make the end of the game approachable once both are at high levels.
